Startup Tapni has developed a new generation of business cards that uses NFC technology. This innovative product allows individuals to share their contact information in a modern way — contactless and sustainable.
“Our solution allows users to share the desired information with one touch of another phone: their social networks, contacts, or sites. Others do not need a specific application to receive contact information”, says Mihajlo Nikodijević, the founder of the Tapni startup.

The need for this solution appeared during the Covid-19 pandemic when there were no meetings with business cards exchange. Intending to help everyone share information without contact, the Tapni team maximized the NFC technology that smartphones already have.
“Our idea was to enable the designing of a unique business smart card that suits someone’s style or brand. Tapni business cards could be in different colors and shapes and even serve as a pendant”, Mihajlo points out.
Thanks to the young Tapni team, networking has never been easier. Today, their “business cards from another planet” are used by more than 5,000 companies around the world.
Although Tapni is still a small startup, its product demand is growing worldwide. The need for accelerated development and improvement of business led them to apply for participation in the Katapult acceleration program.
“We were really thrilled that the Katapult program has gathered a large number of mentors who have a huge experience in management and business in general. We expect to receive crucial advice regarding product development, business scaling, opening new markets, and how a small company could be transformed into a large international company”, said Mihajlo.
